About the Project
The Wilto Willo Research Team at KWY Aboriginal Corporation is working to reduce the over-representation of Aboriginal children in Out-of-Home Care.
Through yarning and storytelling, we centre community voices to understand lived experiences and develop culturally responsive, healing-centred supports. This project amplifies Aboriginal voices, strengthens services, and supports community-led solutions to keep children safe, connected, and thriving.
We have gained ethics approval via the Aboriginal Health Research Ethics Committee. AHREC Protocol: # 04-25-1216.

Who can participate?

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with experience (either personal, family or work) of the child protection system OR
-
Non-Aboriginal parent or carer of an Aboriginal child/young person with lived experience of the child protection system AND
-
Living in South Australia AND
-
Aged 18 years and over
Who can participate?
By participating, you are helping shape a future where Aboriginal and young people are safe, connected to culture, and cared for within community. This research is led by the community for the community.
Every story shared helps guide the way forward and create real change.
