What We Offer

Kinship Care works with Kinship Carers to support the safety and wellbeing of children who are under Guardianship. Support will be provided through case management for Carers.

Support includes:

• Culturally informed assessment and placement processes e.g. Winangay assessment 

• Education and training i.e. culturally responsive carer processes including encouraging children’s cultural storytelling and training on trauma-informed child centre approaches 

• Opportunities for networking with other Kinship Carers 

• Maintaining extended family links and reconnection with birth parents through DCP processes 

• Checking in on the wellbeing of Carers

 

Eligibility

Kinship Care is run throughout Adelaide and in some regional locations.
