
Strong Families, Strong Communities is a partnership between KWY and Centacare Catholic Country SA (CCCSA). The program delivers therapeutic case management support to individuals and families, as well as facilitating group and community activities. It fosters community connections and provides pathways for clients to access other programs and training opportunities that align with their personal goals.
The Family Practitioner plays a key role in delivering services and outreach to families. This includes providing support to adults, children, young people, and, where appropriate, extended kin. The practitioner adopts a complex case management approach, offering therapeutic support, advocacy, and referrals.
This position is offered part time (0.7 FTE) as a fixed-term appointment for a duration of 6 (six) months. A 12 (twelve) month contract can be negotiated. At the conclusion of this initial term, the organisation may, at its discretion, consider an extension of employment. Any such extension would be contingent upon the candidate’s demonstrated performance and may involve placement within another team of the organisation. Continuation beyond the initial term is not guaranteed and shall be subject to mutual agreement and organisational requirements.

The worker is responsible for contributing to improvements in the quality, safety and community needs-driven distribution of services that meet the needs of Aboriginal individuals and their families.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Practitioner to join our Wuinparrinthi Program. This role works with young Aboriginal males aged 14–18 who are at high risk of perpetrating violence at home or in the community. You will provide therapeutic support, case management, advocacy, and referrals, ensuring safety and wellbeing for young people, women, and children.
The Youth Practitioner (Practitioner) works with young males between the ages of 14 years and 18 years of age who are assessed as high risk of perpetrating violence at home and in the community.
The Practitioner will provide therapeutic support, case management, advocacy, referrals, and information in statutory and non-statutory environments.
The Practitioner will ensure quality services are provided to young people who are experiencing complex, social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, prioritising the safety of the young person, woman, and children.
The Practitioner is a highly experienced and competent worker, who delivers dedicated support and cultural services to Aboriginal young people allocated within the service. The practitioner is responsible for contributing to improvements in the quality, safety and community needs-driven distribution of services that meet the needs of Aboriginal young people, and their families with the aim to increase family safety.
Peer Workers draw on their lived experience of navigating financial hardship to authentically connect with clients experiencing hardship, sharing their personal knowledge and insights to where it may be of benefit to clients. This role is for 0.5 FTE / 38 hours per fortnight. 2 years contract.
Working under the guidance of a Linker, Peer Workers provide practical, emotional and social support to clients by listening, and offering their knowledge and experiences where appropriate to the client’s situation and needs. This might include accompanying a client for the first time attending a service or community event, advocating alongside a client, being with a client as they make calls, and researching and assisting clients to find services and other supports.
The Child and Youth Practitioner plays a key role in providing intensive, therapeutic and culturally grounded case management support to Aboriginal children and youth in the program. Working in partnership with the family, the practitioner offers advocacy, cultural support, risk assessment, safety planning, and healing-focused interventions to strengthen family functioning.
This position is offered as a fixed-term appointment for a duration of six (6) months. At the conclusion of this initial term, the organisation may, at its discretion, consider an extension of employment. Any such extension would be contingent upon the candidate’s demonstrated performance and may involve placement within another team of the organisation. Continuation beyond the initial term is not guaranteed and shall be subject to mutual agreement and organisational requirements.
