
The Mens Practitioner will be responsible for the delivery of the KWY My Spirit 22-session men’s behaviour change program grounded in cultural healing. In addition, the Mens Practitioner will be required to provide one-on-one support to clients while engaged in the group work program. The program is specifically designed to address men’s use of violence using healing, community and connectedness while taking proactive measures in confronting the challenges experienced by Aboriginal males within the context of the justice system, domestic violence, trauma and wellbeing, highlighting the significance in terms of disengagement from community, country, and self.

The successful applicant will possess skills, experience, and knowledge in working with Aboriginal men and people in areas such as Child Protection, Domestic and Family Violence, Health, Education and broadly across the community services sector. The applicant will operate within a therapeutic, trauma-informed framework. The applicant would have demonstrated knowledge of case management and working with Aboriginal families.

The role of the Senior Cultural Practitioner is to ensure Aboriginal children and young people in the Out of Home Care sector are supported to maintain connection to family, Country and Culture through active and responsive cultural connection practices to ensure the following is embedded.

Provide support, training and Cultural advice to the team (both metro and regional) and all Kinship Carers. Responsible for developing Cultural maintenance plans for all Aboriginal children and young people in Kinship Care. Develop Cultural support plans for Kinship Carers, including Aboriginal Life Story Books and implementing Return to Country Plans. Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager and Program Coordinator to ensure KPI’s are met.
The KWY Family Practitioner is responsible for the implementation and support of the parents, children, young people, and extended family members in the Safe Families Strong Communities (SFSC) program. The SFSC program provides support to parents of children, youth and their families who are at risk of being involved with child protection by providing peer-facilitated group sessions, with case management support provided in the background.

The Senior Project Officer is a key role within KWY, responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of strategic and operational projects across the organisation. This includes leading tender and grant writing processes, contributing to program design and implementation, and supporting system and process development to strengthen KWY’s service delivery and impact. The contract could be full time or part time (negotiable).

You will be responsible for overseeing a team of professionals delivering high-impact projects that align with KWY’s vision to strengthen the safety, wellbeing, and self-determination of Aboriginal families and communities. Full time or part time hours (negotiable).

This is a new and unique leadership role focused on driving applied research and innovation, grounded in lived experience and Aboriginal-led methodologies. You will oversee a portfolio of research and evaluation initiatives, including a flagship lived experience child protection project, Wito Willo. Your work will influence practice, policy, and service design, ensuring the voices of Aboriginal children, families and communities are central to system reform.
