Stronger, Safer Families Outreach Hubs
What we offer…
The Stronger Safer Families Outreach Hubs (Safety Hubs) are a unique, culturally appropriate service to address and reduce family violence and improve the safety of women and children in the home.
This is a whole of family initiative, where individual KWY practitioners walk alongside each family member to support their individual and collective needs. It provides a holistic, culturally inclusive, trauma-informed, and therapeutic practice for Aboriginal families.
To be eligible for the KWY Safety Hubs, families must meet all the following criteria:
At least one parent is Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
Domestic/Family violence is present in the home, and
Have children in the family home or children are part of the family
Referrals to the program can come from government departments, Non-Government Organisations, family, community, or self-referred.
If you, or someone you know, would like to find out more about our services and begin the road to recovery from family violence, please get in touch with your nearest KWY today. You can do this via email, phone or by completing our referral form.
