What we offer… 

The Heart 2 Heart program is a group art program designed to enable Aboriginal women to connect with their culture and other women. 

 

These group art sessions are combined with art to bridge the gap between psychological services and cultural practice. Each group is run by an Aboriginal Elder and social worker. The program gives individuals an opportunity to discuss, explore and connect to culture and begin the processes of healing. 

 

Specifically, through the Heart 2 Heart program, women can work towards strengthened and more resilient lives. The program includes components of parenting training, connection to education, employment and community. 

 

Eligibility… 

Aboriginal women living in the metropolitan Adelaide area who have experienced or are experiencing domestic/family violence are eligible.

Referrals for Heart 2 Heart can come from internal KWY programs.

 

Locations… 

Heart 2 Heart moves between Metro Adelaide and Port Augusta. The program can be accessed through the following:

• Adelaide North 

• Adelaide South 

• Port Augusta
